Fellow Lake Dwellers,

We have made quite a bit of progress this year and, as you can see, some of the ideas collected from you last year are starting to take form. As the weather continues to improve, most of you have probably made a trip to the beach and noticed some of the improvements there. The 100' stone wall is complete and a permanent stone fire pit was constructed. We also installed some new sod/seed so please tread lightly. New low voltage lights were installed in addition to some adjustments to reduce light pollution. The organic garden project is ready for planting.

Over at the picnic area we have started preparing for the new pavilion. We removed diseased and construction flagged trees. It may be difficult to get off the new flagstone dance floor but should you wish, there are some new picnic tables and benches to enjoy. The security gate at the picnic has been repaired which should enhance privacy and we are working on some new lighting schemes for safety.

Going into the second half of 2008 we will continue with the pavilion plans as our main priority. We hope to have the project complete by next lake season. Also expect a new security gate protecting our boat ramp to eliminate non-members from accessing the lake. As always, feedback is welcome. I have shared the master plan with many of you and heard nothing but praise from young and old for some of the things we are doing to make our lake more enjoyable for our families. Enjoy the summer.
