The Regatta was brought back to life with the 50th Anniversary celebration of the City on September16th. Approximately 11 boats where creatively decorated along with the inhabitants on board. After honoring long time BLHA member Pete Rolader, BLHA hosted the annual Fall Luau. This event had an overwhelming turnout. Approximately 205 adults & 45 children enjoyed the Regatta and the Luau with good food and music.

A big"Thank You" goes out to all who participated and supported the event, BLHA, Chapel, and the City's Events Committee.

The Regattaparticipants were:
  • 1st place Kids – Orka - Sam & Katie Weber
  • 2nd place Kids – Barely Floats -John Kaffezakis & Caleb Pendelton
  • S.O.SAward - Southern Exposure - Chet McQuaide
  • S.O.S Award – Dream Boat - Dov & Judy Jacobson
  • Best Themed - Lake Mother Goose – Fins, Fur & Feathers - Elaine & Paul Myers
  • Best Use of Material - Dave's Surf Shop - Louise & Dave Sleet
  • Most Outrageous – Thriller-Chris Holben & crew
  • Crowds Choice Award - BJ's Belly Babes & Boys- Sheik Skip Johnson, Rob Wright & BJ Barrett, Selena & Rick Loper, Carol & Steve Seitz
  • Pirates of Berkeley Lake - Brandon & Kelly (Paul & Elaine Myers' grandchildren)
