With the dam repairs coming up soon, many of you have asked BLHA to research different options for in-water slips for boating as well as dry-land storage for your boats during the period of time that our lake will be drained.

We contacted 5 marinas and asked them to "bid" on multiple boats at their marina. Based upon the written responses, I visited the two marinas that showed the most interest in our business. The best combination of pricing and quality is Aqualand Marina (aqualandmarina.com) in Flowery Branch, which is about 30 minutes from Berkeley Lake.

Aqualand is the largest marina on Lake Lanier and they offer a variety of different options for boaters. Their amenities include on site gas dock, repair shop, ship store, restaurant and many special events for their members.

The price sheet for Aqualand is based upon at least 10 BLHA boats. These prices are about 30% less than their regular rates. If we fall short of the 10 boats the cost will be about 10% higher than the rates on the sheet (but still less than the regular prices).

If you need help getting your boat to Aqualand for wet or dry storage, we have received a price of $125.00 to transfer your boat from our launch ramp to Aqualand. They have their own trailer to transport your boat.

Please don't wait until the last minute to decide. Once we start draining the lake, our ramp will not be usable.
